We consider our physicians as an essential part of our healthcare delivery team, with 117 M.D. and D.O. practitioners on staff. Most are local residents with independent practices focused on serving the community.
The Board grants privileges to credentialed physicians to care for hospitalized patients. In order to be eligible to practice in the Hospital, all physicians hold a current Ohio License through the Ohio State Medical Board, medical malpractice insurance, and are required to maintain skills and competence through continuing education/training.
Physicians are active in leadership roles throughout the Hospital. They are involved in Samaritan's Strategic Planning and operational processes as members of the Board and hospital/medical staff leadership committees. Physicians participate in local and national initiatives for performance. Many of them are very active in our community.

Some of them you can call directly if you are looking for a primary care physician to take care of your healthcare needs, others you'll see in our Emergency Department, and a few work behind the scenes to read your imaging studies or analyze your blood tests.
