Ambulatory Care Medicine
Our Ambulatory Care Medicine (ACM) Unit, newly renovated and located on the second
floor of Samaritan Hospital, offers many valuable outpatient
services to members of the community. There are a number of
regularly scheduled outpatient clinics, utilizing numerous
physicians for appointments and treatments.
In addition, our ACM unit treats over 8,500 a year and performs over 1,300 endoscopies (types of scopes) a year. On average, ACM treats over 32 patients a day and perform 5 or more scopes a day. In addition, ACM treats over 820 chemotherapy patients.
New ACM (outpatient) wing opened in summer of 2005:
- New and expanded Cardiac Rehabilitation area
- New area for chemotherapy treatments, with private stations and televisions
- New Endoscopy Suite and cleaning room
- Many new clinic rooms, an office for traveling physicians, a charting room for nurses, and a centralized nurses station
There are many clinics available to the community. All clinics are scheduled through Samaritan Hospital's Resource Scheduling.
As of June 2, all patients with an appointment with a doctor on ACM may go directly to the second floor, without checking in at the main lobby registration.
