SRHS Perioperative Services provides advanced surgical
procedures with an holistically-centered environment focused on caring for you and your family.
Surgical patients at SRHS
receive more than advanced technology and competent results; they
experience a level of holistic care that is synonymous with the
Samaritan name.
Perioperative Services facilitates every patient's stay by making
advanced contact to answer questions and to guide the patient
through the pre-op process. Initial screenings such as bloodwork and
X-rays are scheduled to minimize patient inconvenience. Then on the
day of surgery, details come together as planned so that the patient
is more relaxed and outcomes are better.
Attention to the person and resulting high patient satisfaction
levels are the key drivers of the growth, expansion and technology
at SRHS. A fourth operating suite was added in 2005 for future growth, along with a
renovated outpatient surgery department that includes 11 new pre- and post-operative suites where your family can be with you before your surgery and after you return from recovery.
New technologies meet the community's needs in a convenient local
setting. Sports medicine, joint replacement, laparoscopic surgery,
urology and laser/shock wave lithotripsy are some of the services
offered at SRHS.
SRHS is also a leader in orthopedics, urology, general surgery,
gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry and otolaryngology procedures.
A staff of 18 surgeons and four board-certified anesthesiologists
help
an
average
of 3,320 patients per year. Patient safety remains a top priority
with
the use of nationally recommended injury prevention protocols.
